Introduction to Digital Photography

Are you new to photography or perhaps in need of a refresher on the many buttons and dials on your digital camera?


In this hands-on, entry level workshop offered in partnership with McBain Camera, you will come away with a thorough understanding of how to capture beautiful images by creating stronger compositions and using your cameras controls to unleash your creativity. Key topics that will be covered are exposure, aperture, shutter speed, focus, metering, composition and storytelling.


Requirement

  • a digital camera that allows you to change settings. This includes DSLRs with interchangeable lenses and most point and shoot cameras! Please bring your camera and lens(es), memory card, fully charged battery, pen, camera manual (optional but highly recommended, printed or on a tablet or phone). If you are unsure if the camera you have is suitable for this class, please ask.
